Intelligence Briefing
Navigating Global Conflict Scenarios in 2024
On-Demand Recording
In four major global conflict scenarios for 2024, escalation risks are highlighted due to high risks of miscommunication and miscalculation. Insikt Group analysts will discuss the likelihood of escalation among the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict and the Israel-Hamas tensions, as well as conflicts in the Red Sea, Gulf of Aden, and cross-strait relations between China and Taiwan.
Join us for an intelligence briefing with a panel of Insikt Group expert analysts and delve into the complexities of global conflict scenarios in 2024. Topics discussed include:
- Russia-Ukraine Conflict: An analysis of why a NATO-linked escalation is unlikely in 2024, despite the potential for miscommunication-induced incidents.
- China-Taiwan Relations: A critical look at why China is expected to avoid armed conflict with Taiwan, instead continuing its multimodal coercive campaign.
- Israel-Hamas Dynamics: Insights into whether this conflict will expand, and the role played by Iran and Hezbollah.
- Red Sea and Gulf of Aden Tensions: An examination of the low-intensity conflict perpetuated by Iran-backed Houthis, and the limited likelihood of it escalating into a broader war across the Arabian Peninsula.
