The dark web is where criminals sell leaked company data, ransomware actors buy direct access to corporate networks, threat actors coordinate attacks, and so much more. As such, it is a mine of potentially valuable intelligence, but sources there can be volatile and hard to track — not to mention noisy.
The most common cyber attacks are initiated on dark and closed web sources, so with no clear visibility into these sources, security teams are unable to identify upcoming attacks and are left scrambling to respond once the attacks are already underway.
